well..........i called food service today. no open jobs. but they said i could fill out an application because there could be a job opening soon. not sure what to do. looked around at lanse creuse and chippewa valley. could work at the hs or an elementary in food service. or i could drive a bus as a sub for chippewa. still deciding........... i am such a procrastinator. i SUCK. i NEED a job, yet sit here hemming and hawing. idiot!

the beat goes on

so last night kris and karl went to u of d to take jessy some items. guess when they arrived they offered to take her to fishbones in detroit for dinner. they let, or made, not sure which one, jessy drive there. she is not a fan of highway driving. and unfortunately it makes me nervous so i cannot ride with her on the highway. LOL typical mom thing i think. maybe it is just me. anyway guess she did ok. and karl really knows his way around. so that always helps. he is the person i call if i need to get around something or to somewhere and i do not know the area. especially in detroit and ypsi and ann arbor. he is a very good communicator. =] for some reason, of course, kris and karl HAD to stop in at the casino. so one would stay with jessy while the other went to play a bit. something about them getting a bonus on their casino card or whatever. who knows. but jessy said they went to astoria but karl did NOT get baklava. i am shocked. he loves it from there. while kris was playing karl and jessy got an ice cream. i am happy that my kids get along. nothing like some of my siblings. but then again.....as jami says....if they were around each other for any length of time, there would probably be problems. LMAO

its raining its pouring.......................

its hard to believe but bryan will be one year old in 16 days!! i talked to him on the phone today. jami said he was smiling. =]=]=]=] it is so hard living so far away. makes me sad when i think of it. i am fearful that he will not remember me when he sees me again. =/ i am working on jami.....trying to get her to get kenny to move to nc. at least then they will be within a drivable distance.

jessy called this morning to say her roommate brooke was using the microwave and the power went out!! after some investigating they found that parts of other dorm rooms were without some power as well. jessica handled it and i was proud of her for that! ; ) the power is now restored. later she text messaged me saying that her friday pysch class is online. she has that class mwf. so she was happy. later we tried to do a video call, but the Internet at college sucks big time. we could hear each other and she could see me, but i could not see her and it was dragging. made me laugh. she says she is coming home this weekend, so i will have to see why the camera did not work. it is built in. hmm... speaking of jessy...kris and karl are probably with her right now. they were dropping off some more needed items. LMAO like hmm.......stapler, more shorts, umbrella, nail polish, nail polish remover, cotton balls, other odds and ends and the most important items......2 poured chocolate cupcakes i bought for them today from christines bakery! yummy! hopefully brooke likes chocolate otherwise jessy will be eating both. lol she will NOT mind that.

still deciding what to do for a job. school or no school??? difficult decision. i did call to see about a job in food service today but got the voicemail.........so i hung up. will call again tomorrow.

oh oh oh oh..............today for the first time ever i used a pressure cooker. wowza! awesome!! lets see........i cooked boneless pork ribs in under a half hour. and they were tender and delicious! ha! now i have to experiment as i do not see too many recipes for the pressure cooker anywhere.

off to put ben in the shower............

i am off to bed. ben starts school tomorrow (well really today now i guess!!). i cannot believe that he is already in 2nd grade!

i met jessys roommate brooke...very nice girl. and @ college the parking lot is really well lit and dps cars are very visible. gave me some comfort!! plus jessy text messaged me to say her bed is very comfy! ; ) you cannot beat a good mattress topper!! =] lol

shes off to college...............

well today we moved jessy to college. actually it went well. i was really surprised at how uncomplicated it all was. =] well except for the part where we had to run around to two different stores to get a longer cat 5 cord and extensions cords and an adaptor for the cable tv. of course her roommate moved in last week. so.........brooke, got the "better" side of the room, the better plugs...grounded ones... and the bigger closet. you get the picture. anyway jessy will be coming home tonight. basically no one else (except for the ra's) was even on her floor today. plus she has to work at big boys tomorrow and monday. do not ask me why she thought she had to work until the day before she starts college. ugh!! so after a very long and tiring day darren and i went to grab a bite to eat. as soon as we were seated...i started to cry. i think 1) that's just me! 2) i am tired 3) i have been very stressed this past week.......mainly from trying to get jessy's stafford loan fixed with a bazillion calls. what a nightmare!! who knew it would all be so damn complicated???? 4) she is MY baby! oh well. she really is too smart to just stay at home and waitress for the rest of her life. LOL hopefully this is the beginning of a great path for her!! =]

now i am listening to the kids.....matt, ben, karl, krista playing the game of life.....simpsons style. lol darren is watching tv and jessy is laying on the couch reading her booklet all about u of d campus life that she got from the college today. until next time.................
